Abstract

The aim of the project is to shed light on the regional dimensions of the green transition and its consequences for the labour market. The first step is to identify regional skill profiles on the basis of the Greenness of Jobs Index. Secondly, the extent to which regions differ from each other in terms of skills profiles will be examined. Thirdly, the role of intra-regional mobility (change of employer and/or occupation) and inter-regional mobility (commuting, migration, relocation) in the transformation will be examined. Finally, we analyse the extent to which these mechanisms change income inequality between regions. Conclusions and approaches for regional labour market policies will be derived from the results.
