Digitalisation and change in employment - second wave
Project duration: 01.05.2023 to 31.12.2025
Abstract
The digitalisation of work processes continues to advance. The new technologies are leading to a fundamental structural change in the world of work, which entails diverse challenges for different areas of social policy. This project aims to generate the second wave of a data set for interdisciplinary social policy research on the challenges of Working World 4.0. The second wave of a linked employer-employee data set is to be generated from this, with which the effects of the use of technology in the companies on the individual workers of these companies can be examined. The project will build on the existing IAB-IZA-ZEW Arbeitswelt 4.0 establishment survey, which already maps digitalisation in establishments. The data set is to be linked with the employees' social security data in order to be able to track the employment histories of the individuals. A survey will be conducted among the employees in order to obtain a comprehensive data basis on the challenges of company digitisation processes for employees from a socio-political perspective.
