Abstract

Demand for apprentices exceeds supply in many occupations. This shortage also has a regional dimension, i.e. there are regions in which this shortage is less pronounced than in others. The core of this consulting project is to examine to what extent occupational contents relevant to environmental protection influence the probability of filling a job. The background is the idea that young people prefer future-oriented professions. In the public perception, these are primarily those with "green" content. To test this thesis, we also use a proven classification by Janser (2019).
