Abstract

In the proposed project, we tackle these questions from an empirical social scientific, ethical, and legal perspective. The Covid-19 pandemic represents an exceptional situation that leads us to scrutinize the meaning of data use purpose and the societal, ethical, and legal conditions to use individual data to promote public health and other public benefit purposes. With this project, we advance our knowledge and contribute societally relevant results in three ways.
