Abstract

People with disabilities have the right to social and labour market participation. Vocational rehabilitation measures are offered within the framework of Book II and III of the Social Code. Vocational rehabilitation aims at the long-term integration into working life and enabling people with disabilities for social and occupational participation. The project focuses on the disease-related and rehabilitation-related experiences of the rehabilitants and their assessment of their future prospects. Furthermore, perspectives of the service providers, companies and the Federal Employment Agency are of interest. The study deals in particular with the rehabilitation of persons with a mental illness. Data are based on a qualitative study on vocational rehabilitation patients carried out in 2016/2017, a qualitative and quantitative study on service providers carried out in 2018/2019 and the rehabilitation process data panel (RehaPro).
