Abstract

In the research project "Job Search Effort during Unemployment: Insights from New Data and Theory" (IAB project number 3149), recipients of ALG were surveyed by SMS text messages as part of a high-frequency survey of 22 waves and for a period of four months to the extent of their time Job search interviewed per day. To validate the results of this survey, an alternative measure for the search intensity should therefore be collected. This measure is constructed / approximated based on the number of hits and length of stay on a website that provides information on the job market and job search. Randomly selected participants (recipients of unemployment benefit) first receive an invitation by mail to visit this website and its URL.
