Abstract

Startup activity in Germany has been on the decline for years. The initial goal of the project is to take stock of the current situation. How is the number of startups changing, how are these young companies growing, and how many survive in the long term? This will be followed by analyses examining the causes of the differences between eastern and western Germany.
