Malte Reichelt receives funding for Emmy Noether Junior Research Group

Malte Reichelt received funding for an Emmy Noether Junior Research Group. The group does research on 'Gender in the Age of Digitization and Technological Change - Inequalities in the Educational System and the Labor Market (GenDiT)’. Malte Reichelt is Research Associate at the IAB and Assistant Professor at New York University Abu Dhabi.

The Emmy Noether Programme of the German Science Foundation (DFG) gives exceptionally qualified early career researchers the chance to qualify for the post of professor at a university. The Research Group with two PhD positions, and headed by Malte Reichelt, will for the duration of six years be sponsored with 1.4 Million Euros. Starting 1.1.2023, the group will be hosted by the LIfBi in Bamberg. The aim is to analyze the relationships between digitization, technological change, and gender inequality using IAB and NEPS data and own data collections. Multiple projects are planned in cooperation with the IAB, the University of Bamber, the University of California Irvine, the University of Haifa, the Sciences Po in Paris, and with New York University.
