Alison Booth studied at the London School of Economics, where she first finished her studies in 1980 with a Master’s Degree in economics and obtained a Ph.D. in economics in 1984. She ist Professor of Economics at the Australian National University in Canberra since 2002.
Professor Booth was appointed an IAB Research Fellow in 2012.
Her current research interests include labour economics; the economics of education/training; the economics of gender; and experimental economics.
Alison Booth has published her research in numerous major journals, such as the Journal of Development Studies, the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, and the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization.
