Professional background
Maria Sirvent studied Economics and Business Economics (B.Sc.) at Maastricht University (Netherlands) and International Economics and Economic Policy (M.Sc.) at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.
After completing her studies, she worked as a risk and data analyst in the banking sector. Since 2024, she has been working at the IAB as a research assistant in the Statistical Methods Department (KEM).
Her research specializes in computational social science, focusing on enhancing the reliability of Natural Language Processing-based analysis, specifically when extracting and studying data from occupational texts.
