Professional background
Cerstin Burfeind completed her degree in social pedagogy at the Leuphana University Lüneburg and the University of Amsterdam. She is studying sociology and social research at the University of Bremen alongside her job.
After her occupation in the education sector, she worked for the Federal Employment Agency from 2005 onwards. Initially, she was employed as a personal advisor in the field of SGB II and after that as an employer-oriented job agent in the Employers Service. Since November 2024, she has been working as a project employee in the Research Coordination Unit at the IAB.
