Professional background
Magdalena Backes studied Political Science and Economics (B.A. 2020) at Heidelberg University and Public Administration (M.A. 2022) at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer. She has been a lecturer at the University of Applied Labour Studies in Mannheim since 2022 and a research associate at the IAB since 2023.
