Professional background
Ali Athmani studied econometrics at the University of Algiers from 1989 to 1994. He gained practical experience in IT-system-support and hardware immediately after finishing university. Between 2000 and 2002 he completed a training to become a specialized computer scientist/applications developer at the Q-punkt Academy in Nuremberg. Mr Athmani worked on various software development projects at Logisma AG and PIC GmbH from 2000 to 2005. He has been on the technical staff as a specialist for developing databases and OLAP technology since 2005. In 2007 he took the lead of the team “Preparation of Research Data“ and in 2010 additionally of the team “Development of IAB Business Applications“. Since October 2016 he is head of the Service Department "Data and IT-Management".
