Professional background
Lukas Wilzek completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in economics at the University of Siegen. During his studies, he spent two semesters abroad at Linnaeus University in Sweden and worked as a student assistant at the Chair of Public Finance. He completed his master's degree in July 2024.
Since October 2024, he has been a doctoral student in the IAB's graduate program (GradAB) and a member of the „Education, Training, and Employment Over the Life Cours” research group.
His research interests lie in the field of education and labor market research, with a particular focus on the effects of the school system on the transition to the labor market.
