Die FDZ-Literaturdatenbank umfasst neben Datensatzbeschreibungen und Methodenberichten die zahlreichen Forschungsarbeiten, die auf Basis der am FDZ angebotenen Daten entstanden sind. Hier finden Sie aktuell laufende Projekte von FDZ-Nutzenden.
Darüber hinaus stehen die Literaturdatenbank zum IAB-Betriebspanel sowie die Literaturdatenbank zum PASS zur Verfügung.

Apart from dataset descriptions and methodology reports, the FDZ literature database contains numerous research papers written on the basis of the data provided by the FDZ. Here you can find currently ungoing research projects of FDZ users.
In addition, literature databases on the IAB Establishment Panel and the Panel Study Labour Market and Social Security (PASS) are available for research.

    Abstract

    "This paper provides details on the sampling design, the fieldwork, as well as nonresponse and population adjustments for the 2023 sample M8c. The survey is conducted in cooperation between the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) and the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP). Sample M8c contributes to the IAB-SOEP-Migration Samples. It augments the IAB-SOEP-Migration samples M8a and M8b by adding 970 households of foreigners from foreign countries to allow for evaluating the Skilled Labor Immigration Act (Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetz). The act came into effect on March 1, 2020. Its goal is to facilitate the immigration of skilled workers from non-EU countries to Germany." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))

    "Dieses Papier enthält Details zu Stichprobendesign, Feldarbeit, Antwortausfällen und Bevölkerungsanpassungen für die 2020 IAB-SOEP Migrationsstichprobe (Stichproben M7 und M8). Stichprobe M7 aktualisiert die IAB-SOEP Migrationsstichprobe mit Haushalten mit Haushaltsvorständen bulgarischer, polnischer oder rumänischer Staatsangehörigkeit. Die Stichprobe M8 ergänzt die IAB-SOEP Migrationsstichprobe mit Haushalten von Ausländern aus Drittstaaten zur Evaluation des Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetzes. Die Einholung von fast 1.000 Haushaltsinterviews und Panel-Zustimmungen von Haushalten für jede Stichprobe wurde durch die erste Welle der Corona-Pandemie und den ersten Lockdown erschwert. Nichtsdestotrotz wird die Nichtbeantwortung auf Haushaltsebene durch eine Vielzahl von Merkmalen wie Nationalität oder regionale Kontexte sowie Informationen aus den Integrierten Erwerbsbiographien bestimmt."     Abstract

    "The IAB-SOEP Migration Sample is a joint project of the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) and the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW). The project tempts to overcome limitations of previous datasets by drawing a sample that takes into account changes in the structure of migration to Germany since 1995. The dataset opens up new perspectives for migration research and gives insights on the living situations of new immigrants to Germany.
    The remainder of this paper describes the development and special features of the IAB-SOEP Migration Sample and gives an overview of the questionnaire. The IAB-SOEP Migration Sample builds both on previous experience surveying migrants in the SOEP as well as on past experience with migration research based on register data such as the Integrated Employment Biographies (IEB) data set. Section 2 discusses how the changing socio-economic structure of migration to Germany and the limitations of register data and previous surveys have created a growing need for a survey of this kind - in particular, one that links survey and register data. Section 3 describes the procedure used to draw the sample and the weighting procedure. To the best of our knowledge, the IAB-SOEP Migration Sample constitutes the first use of IEB data as a sampling frame. This has a number of implications for the survey. Section 4 presents the content of the questionnaire used in the IAB-SOEP Migration Sample and the key similarities and differences compared to the standard SOEP questionnaire.
